good space

Yoga Sutra 2.46 sthira sukham asanam

This translates to “the seat or asana should be steady, comfortable, and joyful” or my favorite interpretation “to resolutely abide in good space”.

I am committed to working with you to restore and maintain good space in body and mind. Our sessions will explore your daily movement patterns, how they get held in the body both physically and energetically, and how you can get back to doing the things you love free from pain. Our work together will be a collaboration, a safe space, guided by your own internal landscape to facilitate lasting wellness within.

I am a massage therapist and yoga instructor originally from St. Louis, MO. I have spent the last decade away studying yoga, fitness, dance, functional movement, massage therapy, Asian bodywork, and natural medicine. I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance and Arts Management from Columbia College Chicago which supported my lifelong love of movement, fascination with the human body, and desire for authentic connection. I earned my 200-hour yoga teaching certification in 2014 and since have taught 5,000+ hours of yoga classes, facilitated over a dozen yoga teacher trainings, and helped open and manage two yoga studios in the Chicago area. Fueled by a desire to learn more about the human body, compassionate touch, and natural medicine I studied Thai Massage in Bali, Indonesia then completed Pacific College of Health & Science Chicago’s Massage Therapy & Asian Bodywork program in 2018.

In 2019 I opened Good Space Massage in the beautiful mountain town of Frisco, CO. Upon moving my family back to St. Louis in 2021 I was welcomed into the wonderful women-led health collective Golden Door in Brentwood, MO, where my business is currently located.

A forever student, I have taken countless hours of continuing education with live tissue cadaver labs, manual lymphatic drainage, cupping, pre/postnatal massage, myofascial release, aromatherapy, functional movement, and much more. I completed my 500-hour yoga certification in 2023 which advanced my knowledge in global fascial tension, the autonomic nervous system, the science of breath, ELDOA and much more. I am currently enrolled in an online course in SMRT (Spontaneous Muscle Release Technique) which includes an in-depth study of anatomy.
