Bodyworkers are incredible (hi! I am one!) but we can only do so much. Learn how you can take charge of your muscular, fascial, and skeletal health and become your best therapist. We’ll dive into some education around anatomy and fascia; what it is and how to work with it, and what’s actually happening beneath the surface of your skin. Expect to practice a combination of modalities including strength & mobility exercises, stretching, and myofascial release with therapy balls to help improve posture, reduce pain, and build awareness within your unique and always changing body. We will work to educate the tissues to create more longevity between bodywork sessions, and ultimately find freedom of movement for life.

This workshop is for anyone who receives regular bodywork (massage, acupuncture, chiropractic, etc.), movement practitioners & teachers of any kind (yoga, running, dance, sports, martial arts, etc.), and those suffering from poor posture, immobility, or chronic pain.

Feel into your feet - the postural foundation for your entire body.

Educate the tissues around the pelvis.

Free the shoulder joint through all planes of movement.

about the presenter

Hi! I’m Hanna Whyte, LMT, E-RYT, I’m a yoga instructor and massage therapist based in St. Louis, MO.

Yoga classes with me are energetic, lighthearted, interoceptive, inclusive, and anatomy-forward. I have been teaching yoga since 2014 and was a dancer long before that, so my practice is influenced by a range of movement modalities and I’m always itching to learn more. I recently completed the 300-hour yoga teacher training at Blue Sky Yoga that had a strong focus on working with global fascial tension, the autonomic nervous system, the science of breath, ELDOA, and much more - so that’s what I’ve been nerding out on lately. I currently teach Roll, Release, and Renew on Monday nights at 7:30 pm at Blue Sky Yoga.

I founded Good Space Massage guided by Yoga Sutra 2.46 sthira sukham asanam. This translates to “the seat or asana should be steady, comfortable, and joyful” or my favorite interpretation “to resolutely abide in good space”. During a massage with me you can expect to receive a customized combination of modalities delivered with grounding, compassionate touch and body-balancing skillful precision. Since 2018 I have honed my skills in myofascial release, deep tissue, lymphatic drainage, cupping, stretching, compression, and prenatal massage. I work out of the Golden Door in Brentwood with a beautiful bunch of humans & our office pup Rosie.

This workshop is a way for me to blend my two loves of movement and bodywork into something unique, nourishing, and educational for my clients, students, colleagues, and friends alike. I’m so glad you’re here. I absolutely love being part of the St. Louis wellness community so I hope to see you around either taking class, in my class, or you can book a massage with me through my website!
